Please note that Lymphatic Drainage can be performed in different styles.

Esther is certified in the following full body lymphatic drainage methods:
- Manual Lymphatic Drainage "MLD" (Level II Applied Techniques) using the Vodder method
- Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage "BLD" by Josie Rushing

Both techniques are used to encourage lymphatic fluid movement for the purposes of:

- reducing pain symptoms after injury or surgical procedures
- facilitating removal of excess fluid, waste & toxins in the interstitial space
- reducing general tissue tension, heaviness or fluid pressure in the area(s) being treated
- BLD can be used in contouring of the face & body - results vary from case to case

Patients should ensure they are well-hydrated and in good health in the days leading up to Lymphatic Drainage Sessions. Abdominal massage is typically included these sessions (not in Neck & Up), so patients are advised to avoid heavy meals prior to treatment.

❗️❗️❗️These appointments are not suitable for those in acute cold/flu stages, active infections, inflammation, open wounds, blood clots, Congestive Heart Failure, kidney conditions and others as Lymphatic Drainage can exacerbate their symptoms and potientially overload their system.
Face treatments are not suitable for those with recent (within the past month) fillers or botox injections.

Medical intervention should be used as primary treatment, and any patients with any concerns should consult their doctor before beginning Lymphatic Drainage.

Myofascial release, Swedish massage, deeper pressure techniques, etc. may be used prior to LD to open up lymphatic pathways.
